In the automotive, furniture, or luxury industries, photorealistic textures are crucial to validate materials before production. Yet, one persistent challenge in real-time rendering has always been moiré artifacts, visual distortions that appear on high-frequency patterns like houndstooth fabrics.

Patchwork 3D 2025 introduces a solution: the “Resolution Offset” parameter, designed specifically to reduce moiré artifacts within material settings.

✅ Enhanced visual quality during real-time presentations
✅ Greater confidence in material approval processes
✅ More accurate decision-making in product reviews and design validation
✅ Improved perception of complex materials like tweeds or technical weaves

In our latest video demo, we explore a chair upholstered with a houndstooth fabric in Patchwork 3D.
By rotating around the model and zooming in, you’ll clearly see how the new parameter progressively eliminates moiré distortions without degrading the overall quality of the texture. A side-by-side comparison demonstrates the effectiveness of the setting, regardless of the viewpoint.
