In this video, we prepare our Robotaxi 3D model in Patchwork 3D for importing into Unreal Engine, including the conversion of meshes and materials.
Thanks to the new Unreal plugin from Lumiscaphe, this process is automated and straightforward. This plugin lets developers import configured models directly from Patchwork 3D, highlighting the versatility of Patchwork 3D-enhanced models. The Robotaxi is now ready to be fine-tuned in Unreal for rendering.
We start by exporting the model from Patchwork 3D, ensuring all the textures and materials are correctly mapped. The Unreal plugin then seamlessly handles the import process, making sure that all components are accurately transferred.
Once imported, we demonstrate how to adjust the model within Unreal, from tweaking the materials to use the Player mode. This allows us to create high-quality visuals and interaction with ease.
This integration is ideal for creating experiences with Unreal’s specific features, adding to the multitude of product experiences already possible, such as image, video, VR, AR, web, mobile, and kiosk, through our solutions.
